Baton Rouge Community College has qualified for the Region 23 women's tournament in Clinton, MS. The Lady Bears did so by winning their conference championship with an 8-1 record. The squad finished the season with an overall record of 14-14, but will carry a seven game winning streak into next week's action.
Mississippi College is the host of the Region 23 Basketball Championship. Coach Lee, and the Lady Bears, are all to familiar with the facility having qualified for the tournament in all six seasons of the program's existence.
The tournament begins on Thursday, March 5th. BRCC will square off against Jones County Junior College; game time is set for 8:00 pm. Next week's matchup will be the first time the Lady Bears face the Lady Bobcats this season. Jones County finished the season 17-7.

In order to repeat as Region 23 Champions, BRCC must be able to win three games in three days to cut down the nets, and qualify for a second straight trip to NJCAA Division I National Championship.
