The Baton Rouge Bears struggled to control the high powered offense of the Bengals, this afternoon at Bengals Stadium. LSUE takes game two of the series 14 to 2, in seven innings.
The Bengals would get on the board first with one run, in the first, and three runs, in the second, to build an early lead. Baton Rouge would get on the board with one run, in the fourth, when Cameron Crawford, who singled, would score on a Thomas Garber hard hit ground ball to the third basemen. In the bottom of the fourth, the Bengals would tact on three more runs to take a 7 to 1 lead. The Bears would strike again with another run, in the fifth inning, when Bo Barrilleaux, who walked, would score on a sac fly by Kyle Pitre. The Bengals were not finished as they would score two more runs, in the fifth, and explode for five runs, in the sixth, to take the 14 to 2 victory, in seven innings.
Dane Dixon earned the victory for the Bengals. He pitched six innings allowing two runs on five hits while striking out three. Joseph Battaglia III took the loss for the Bears. Joe pitched three and two-thirds innings allowing seven runs on seven hits while striking out two. Christopher Courville, Christopher Sagrera and Garrison Beiriger all pitched in relief for the Bears.
LSUE out hit Baton Rouge 10 to 6, while the Bears committed two errrors compared to one for the Bengals.

The Bears will return to action on Monday April 15 to conclude their series with the LSUE Bengals. First pitch is set for 6 pm at Pete Goldsby Field.
