For the second straight day, the LSUE Bengals jumped out to an early lead, in which, the Baton Rouge Bears could not overcome. This time around the Bengals offense was powered by the long ball. The Bengals hit four homers in the game.
LSUE would get on the board first with one run, in the first, and one run, in the second, for the early 2-0 lead after two. In the third, the Bengals would score three runs via a two run homer by J. Merrifield and a solo homer by S. Fuller. The Bears would finally get on the board, in the fourth, with one run. Cameron Crawford would single, steal second, steal third and score on a hard hit ball by William Veillon. This would be the only run the Bears would score all night as the Bengal's pitcher Jacob Spell would keep the Bears out of sync at the plate. The Bears only had three hits on the night. The Bengals would add another run, in the sixth, to extend their lead to 6 to 1, after six. The Bengals would score seven run in the seventh; four coming off two- two run homers by T.Welch and E.Keller. The Bengals would take game three of the series 13 to 1, in seven innings. The Bengals sweep the season series with the Bears 6-0.
Jacob Spell earned the victory for LSUE. He pitched seven innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out four . Brett Fisackerly took the loss for Baton Rouge. Brett pitched six innings allowing six runs on nine hits while striking out five. Christopher Courville and Jacob Jensen pitched in relief for the Bears.

The Bears will return to action on Tuesday April 16, as they travel to Perkinson, Mississippi to take on Mississippi Gulf Coast in a doubleheader starting at 3pm.
