Ethan Laurent

High School: Ethan Joseph Laurent attended Ponchatoula High School, where he played baseball under head coach Scott Tebow. As a freshman, his Green Wave team won the district championship, and he was named to the Second Team All-District as an outfielder. He also earned the title of Outstanding Pitcher of the Year. In his sophomore year, Ethan was named to the First Team All-District as an outfielder and received the Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year award. As a junior, he made the First Team All-District again, this time as an infielder, and was named Team MVP during his senior season. He graduated with honors and received the Ned Wells Outstanding Athlete Award. In addition to baseball, he also played football for the Green Wave. 

Personal: Ethan’s hometown is Ponchatoula, Louisiana. He is the son of Renee' and Glenn Laurent and has one brother, Jacob. His father, Glenn, competed in the javelin at Southeastern Louisiana University. While attending BRCC, Ethan is majoring in business and hopes to become a college baseball coach one day. His favorite athlete is Clayton Kershaw, and his favorite professional team is the Texas Rangers. Ethan enjoys roasted rice and gravy as his favorite food and Nutella as his favorite snack. His favorite movie is "The Sandlot," and he would love to watch a game at Arlington with the Texas Rangers. The person he admires most is Coach Rac, who uses his talent and fame to inspire others about Jesus.
