Wednesday, December 10, 2025: Men's Basketball
Baton Rouge, LA
The Baton Rouge Bears took a break from final exams this evening to face the Community Christian College Crusaders in the Bonne Sante Wellness Center. This game concluded the Bears' fall semester before they head home for the Christmas holidays. The Bears led wire to wire, sealing a decisive 123-74 victory over the Crusaders.
The Bears quickly came out strong on the offensive end. The combination of Cardez Norman, Nicholas Womack, and Noah Toussaint helped the Bears build a 19-8 lead over the Crusaders within the first five minutes of the game. Their efficient offense, combined with a lockdown defense, limited the Crusaders' possessions. The Bears further extended their lead with a 13-4 run, making it 32-12 at the halfway mark of the first half. They ended the first half with a commanding 55-28 lead.
At halftime, Head Coach encouraged his student-athletes to maintain their momentum and play a complete 40-minute game.
In the early minutes of the second half, Sophomore Forward Bryce Coleman dominated inside the paint, scoring 12 of the Bears' first 14 points. By the 15-minute mark of the game, the Bears held a 74-43 lead. The Crusaders took advantage of some defensive lapses by the Bears as they rotated in their bench players. Ultimately, the Bears defeated the Crusaders with a final score of 123-74.
With this victory, the Bears set a new single-game scoring record, surpassing the previous record of 116 points set against the Bossier Parish Community College Cavs on November 1, 2014.
With the win, the Bears finished the first half of the season with a record of 5-9. Bryce Coleman led the Bears with a game-high 28 points. Six players scored in double figures: Nicholas Womack, Bryce Coleman, Kentrell Freeman, Amir Abdul-Rauf, Ayden Warren, and Noah Whitehead.
