Bears to travel to Perkinston to take on Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs

Baton Rouge Bears Basketball will hit the road for the first time in the New Year as they will travel to Perkinston Mississippi to take on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs.

Tip-off is set for  6 pm in Dantzler Arena.

• Baton Rouge played Hinds Community College on Tuesday January 6, 2026, in Baton Rouge. The Bears lost to the Hinds Bulldogs by the score of 70 to 64.

•  Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College traveled to New Orleans to take on the Delgado Dolphins on Tuesday January 6, 2026. The Bulldogs defeated the Dolphins 86 to 81 in overtime.

• The first meeting between these two teams was November 18, 2009, in Baton Rouge. The Bears defeated the Bulldogs 65-59.

• The last time these two met was on March 6, 2025, in the Region 23 tournament. The Bears defeated the Bulldogs 80-66 in Perkinston to advance to the quarterfinals.
